Hotel Review Bellagio Las Vegas Renovated Spa Tower

I usually visit Las Vegas for conferences or assignments and rarely visit for leisure only. After a long season of spending my days at the winery hosting guests, I needed a little Me Time. I booked a quick getaway to Las Vegas to see a concert that was on my bucket list. First was securing the concert ticket, next was booking a flight, and finally I decided on where to stay.

I first checked room rates and availability via my MGM Rewards App. Bellagio’s Remodeled Spa Tower King room stood out not only due to being recently updated, but also because the rate was much less than found on other websites and also include a $50 room credit and $25 casino FREEPlay.

TIP: The MGM Rewards App includes specials and deals for all MGM Resorts, Dining, and Entertainment.

Check In:

When checking in to Bellagio Las Vegas, there are a few options. Platinum and Diamond MGM Rewards Members can skip the line and head to a VIP check in area. There is also a mobile check in area for guests who are a bit more tech friendly. I had arrived on the first JetBlue flight of the day, from Boston, and opted to wait in line for personal interaction. I had booked early check in for a small fee when making my initial reservation. Check in itself was smooth, painless, and my room was ready and waiting for me before noon. The Reception Desk Staff were all smiling and helpful, explaining basic amenities and giving easy to follow directions to the Spa Tower.

TIP: Monday mornings in Las Vegas mean long check in lines due to conference attendees arriving for the week.

The Room:

The Spa Tower rooms and suites underwent a $110M renovation beginning in March of 2023. As of July, some of the rooms were complete and ready for occupancy. I opted for the Renovated Spa Tower King Room, and glad I did.

My room at The Bellagio in the Spa Tower

From Bellagio: “Crafted by Chicago-based award-winning interior design firm The Gettys Group in partnership with MGM Resorts International Design Group, Spa Tower guest rooms will mirror the Bellagio Tower’s recently redesigned rooms, which have become highly sought after by guests.

The King Room will feature a palette emulating the sunrise reflecting on the water in a symphony of blues and greens. The Spa Tower’s Two Queen Room is designed around a lake sunset, integrating deep, calming tones with flickers of gold and amber. Both designs encompass strong, bold elements that are soothing and calming for guests either beginning or ending their day. Elevated design elements including luxurious marble floors, custom furnishings, illuminated bathroom mirrors inlaid with mother of pearl, and a separate soaking tub and shower will be the hallmark of the new guest room experience.

Throughout their stay, guests will notice multiple design elements inspired by Lake Como and the Bellagio Fountains: carpets emulating the water’s calm motion, headboards evoking the morning light rising over a quiet lake horizon or flowing water reflecting the golden hues of a sunset, lighted vanity mirrors resembling the soft curves of two overlapping water ripples, and corridor ceiling fixtures denoting the bubbling texture and geometric shapes of the Fountains’ water formations, amongst many others.”

Renovated Spa Tower King Bathroom

The updates are soothing and elegant, from the moment I walked down the hallway and noticed the described water ripples to the moment of unlocking my assigned room. Once I entered my Spa Tower King room, I breathed a sigh of content to not only finally arrive, but to see the comfortable bed and relaxing soaking tub in the room. The walk-in shower was marble interior and I did feel like I had returned to Italy. A sense of calm came over me.

I perused my accommodations, checking out the refrigerated mini-bar, charging areas, storage, and bathroom amenities. I then unpacked, picked up the phone to book a spa treatment, and immersed myself into the experience.

TIP: There is no in room coffee maker, however room service will deliver specialty coffees for a fee. Downstairs around the corner, there is a coffee shop and bakery that opens at 6am. I found there wasn’t a line between 6-7am, however after that time frame the line becomes VERY LONG.

Dining:

I headed downstairs to find something for a late lunch before my spa experience. I wandered around and came across LAGO by Julian Serrano. Because I was solo, my only option for seating was at the bar. At first, that made me a little uncomfortable as I like to sit in a corner to enjoy my dining experience, and bar seating makes me feel like I’m on display. However, I was extremely famished from an early travel day.

I asked other bar seating guests if I could squeeze in to the one open seat. I ended up having a nice lunch of a burger and fries, served with a glass of Champagne. It was satisfying and needed before heading to the afternoon spa experience I had booked for myself.

Later that evening, after my spa experience, I relaxed in my room to recover from all the traveling, and well…. Life. I opted to order room service, which was delivered in To-Go boxes. To have room service set up dining style, there is a minimum $125 order and will incur an extra fee.

Location:

I chose The Bellagio for its convenient location on The Vegas Strip, onsite Spa and Restaurants, and located next door to Caesar’s Palace (which is home to another spa I wanted to check out during my visit). It is also located next door to The Cosmopolitan, which has more food options and shops, including a Dry Bar.

The Bellagio was perfect for what I was looking for in my solo, relaxing, bucket list concert adventure. I managed to sleep in every morning, visit a different spa each day, and when it was time to head to U2 at The Sphere, I was able to hop in a cab and was given tips by the staff on the easiest way to access the concert venue.

Not only was the concert itself unbelievable, but my entire three-night getaway at The Bellagio was magical, didn’t break the bank, and was just what I needed.
